Aimed at developing the next generation of Winter Olympic champions, this low cost program is structured to give school aged children an opportunity to learn how to Speed Skate in a fun and engaging environment.
Children are taught the basics of Ice Racing by Victorian Ice Racing Association coaches supported by qualified teaching staff.
Sessions are held weekly throughout the year at the Olympic Ice Skating Centre in Oakleigh. Parents are encouraged to attend to watch their children improve their balance, coordination, fitness and confidence.
Children that demonstrate persistence and aptitude over the course of the year are invited to join and compete for the Olympic Southern Flyers Speed Skating Club.
