Women’s Ice Hockey

Ice Hockey is one of the fastest team sports for women in the world!

The Australia Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) is the premier women’s ice hockey league in Australia. Established in Australia in 2007, the league has five current clubs across Australia: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth all have clubs. 

The AWIHL enables elite female hockey players to pursue their dreams of competing at the highest level possible; and enhances the lives of others through exceptional athleticism, entertainment and motivation. 

Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) funds the AWIHL as a not-for-profit organisation. This means that all participating teams receive equal access to funding which ensures equal opportunity and competition throughout the league.
