Figure Skating

Figure Skating has been a sport in Australia since 1904.  The sport is defined by grace, skill and athleticism, in which skaters spin, jump, and perform choreography on ice to music.

Figure skating encompasses the following disciplines:

Singles Skating

Pairs Skating

Ice Dance

Synchronized Skating

Skaters compete at many levels from beginner to Olympic level, at local, national and international competitions.  To find figure skating events in Melbourne please look on the Ice Skating Victoria list of events

Aussie SkateTM Learn to Skate programs are run at the three Melbourne rinks:  O’Brien Icehouse (Docklands), IceHQ (Reservoir) and Olympic Ice Skating Centre (Oakleigh South).
